Praise and Picnic
Service please click on the thumbnails to enlarge About 120 people of all ages, and 4 dogs, enjoyed this unique service combining a traditional Eucharist with informal worship in a marquee by the side of the Thames, the venue for a wedding reception the previous day.
The service was led by our Rector, The Rev John Wigram, and music was provided by our home 'Praise Band' and a visiting choir, The Eternal Praise Choir, from Luton. The choir were led by Cecil Johnson and accompanied by Jodi McFarlane-Yeboah. After joining in the service, and boosting the singing, the choir gave us three stirring songs to finish with soloists - Therese Antoine and Ronia Rennie.
After the service everyone relaxed with a picnic on the riverbank and boat trips for the choir.
